Parliamentary Ocean Evening on 8 July

The UN Ocean Conference in Nice sent an urgent call for help to the global community: it is time to act - with concrete measures for the largest habitat on our planet, the ocean. Numerous marine organisms could go extinct before we even discover them. And yet the ocean is perhaps our only chance of effectively countering the devastating effects of climate change.

Against this backdrop, the German Ocean Foundation and the Planetarium Berlin Foundation - with the support of the German United Nations Association (DGVN) - cordially invite you to the first Parliamentary Ocean Evening 2025.

The evening will focus on the urgent need to protect marine biodiversity and a promising solution from the ocean that could help us win the fight against global climate change. With renowned speakers and a lively panel discussion, we want to provide political impetus and jointly develop perspectives for effective action.
