SeaExperience Days
Experience the Baltic Sea up close: we invite families and tourists to discover the Baltic habitats and find out more about the ocean. The ten-day event in the picturesque fishing port of Niendorf aims to inspire visitors from all over Germany to protect the sea.
The modules range from guided beach walks to workshops, information tents, an attractive outdoor cinema program and small research expeditions with our research vessel ALDEBARAN for children.
During the SeaExperience Days in Niendorf, both adults and children have the opportunity to get to know the Baltic Sea and its inhabitants with us. Guided beach walks, our BeachLab, invite the whole family to become marine explorers. The best finds from the beach are examined more closely under microscopes and our aquariums invite visitors to discover local flora and fauna. The SailingLabs on the ALDEBARAN encourage children to learn the basics of scientific research on board the ship and experience the Baltic Sea habitat up close.
