Why not join us?
Our ability to support the ocean stands and falls with a strong, competent and committed team. We are always looking for support for our projects, whether you are a marine biologist, diver, media designer, lawyer or event manager. Our work, especially in the media production area and on board, is mainly carried out by volunteers and idealists, often by students and interns, but also professionals who use their holidays to support our activities.
If you are involved in a positive project to protect, restore or clean up the ocean or raise awareness for the ocean - either with the support of an organization or on your own - we want to hear from you!

Send us an e-mail with a brief introduction to yourself, a proposal of how much time you could devote to us, when and in which area, and your documents (cover letter, CV, references) to jobs@meeresstiftung.de.
Unfortunately we do not have the means to return documents received by post, nor do we cover travel expenses for interviews.

Volunteer work
Our team currently consists of around 120 volunteers and we are always happy to welcome more! In addition to the volunteers, we also employ a group of almost 40 freelancers from a wide range of professions who support our projects at preferential rates.

Internships
In addition to full-time and voluntary work, we also offer the opportunity to do an internship. If you are interested you should be available for at least three months so that you can dive into more complex projects and get the most out of your time with us.

Student volunteer placement in public relations and environmental education
If supporting us in office management, being responsible for your own environmental education projects and leading workshops for children, young people and families appeals to you, then get in touch. We can offer you an insight into the basics of public relations work, including the development of our website and social media presence. We particularly welcome applicants who have an affinity for water sports and perhaps some diving and/or sailing experience. In this case, an assignment on the ALDEBARAN could also be possible.
