German Ocean Foundation at the UN Ocean Conference in Nice

The UN Ocean Conference will take place in Nice from 9 to 13 June. The high-level conference is being organised by France and Costa Rica to support the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

The conference will bring together governments, the United Nations, intergovernmental organisations, international financial institutions, non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector, philanthropic organisations, indigenous peoples and local communities to assess the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of Goal 14 and the actions taken in this regard.

From 4 June, our team will be in Nice to present our citizen science and marine education projects in La Baleine, at the Université Côte d'Azur and on board the METEOR and the Malizia Explorer in port.
