Coastal Cleanup Day in Eckernförde

320 students and numerous supporters cleaned up Eckernförde beach on International Coastal Cleanup Day. The annual litter collection campaign allows us to contribute to both marine conservation and environmental education. Divers and paddlers on SUP boards were also out to remove litter from the sea. The campaign is organized by the Bundesverband Meeresmüll e.V. and Eckernförde Touristik und Marketing GmbH. The global Cleanup Day project was initiated by the Ocean Conservancy, and our cleanup data flows into their central database.
