Invisible worlds: From the microcosm in the ocean to the universe

The German Ocean Foundation brings the ocean into the planetarium - offering a new perspective on the smallest but greatest secrets of our world. In an innovative pilot project, impressive images of microorganisms were put together during two workshops in Niendorf on the Baltic Sea using high-resolution cameras and state-of-the-art microscopes - in close collaboration with the team of experts from ZEISS.

The first results will be presented from 9 to 13 April at the ZEISS-Großplanetarium Berlin - as part of the "Invisible Worlds" theme days celebrating the 400th anniversary of the microscope.

The programme is aimed at all age groups: in the planetarium hall, visitors can bring their own specimens or objects and marvel at them live and enlarged on the dome - with scientific explanations from our marine biologists. In spectacular 360° fulldome shows, visitors can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of microorganisms and discover the hidden wonders of the underwater world.

Whether a school class or a family, this journey from the microcosm to the universe will fascniate you all!
