The German Ocean Foundation is now officially a Decade Implementing Partner of the UN Decade of Ocean Science

We are delighted to share this important milestone: the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development has officially recognised the German Ocean Foundation as a Decade Implementing Partner. This strengthens our commitment to marine conservation, science communication and societal transformation at an international level.

As a foundation, we are committed to bringing ocean knowledge to the heart of society, forging new alliances and promoting concrete solutions for a sustainable future for our ocean.

Among other things, we are specifically expanding our work in the field of ocean literacy – through regular public events, science communication initiatives and strong partnerships. A highlight will be the biannual event series on the Cap San Diego, which aims to inspire even more people to protect our oceans in the future.
